Masterclass 4 2023:

A key proposition that underpins the K-10 PDHPE syllabus is focusing on an educative purpose.

Gareth and Adam have years of experience in different football codes and have partnered to explore the similarities and purposes of strategies and tactics across football codes. They will present innovative approaches to teaching core movement understanding through team games.

Learn how to create purposeful small-sided games that support students to transfer and adapt strategies and tactics across football codes and other sports categories.

PRESENTERS

Gareth Long, Australian College of Physical Education 
Gareth is the Course Director of the Bachelor of Football (Development, Management & Performance) degree at the Australian College of Physical Education. He specialises in Coach Education and Physical Literacy.

Adam Bunce, Schools Engagement Manager, AFL Schools
Adam worked as a PE teacher in both Australia and the United Kingdom for 15 years, before moving to sport organisations in 2016. In his role with the AFL Adam works with schools throughout NSW & ACT to shape the lives of students through high quality physical education experiences.
