Join us for HMS Q&A – free informal discussion sessions with ACHPER NSW staff and fellow teachers.

Come together in a safe, collaborative space to work through your implementation challenges. Hear what others are doing and share your ideas. No questions or topics are off-limits.

HMS Q&A runs regularly – you’re welcome to join as many sessions as you like.

Who can attend?  HMS Q&A is open to all PDHPE teachers. However, it will be beneficial if you have a foundational knowledge of the new HMS syllabus, have started HMS planning and/or have attended an ACHPER NSW HMS workshop.

FACILITATOR

Janice Atkin, Professional Learning Officer, ACHPER NSW
Janice has worked as a PDHPE teacher, Head Teacher and curriculum consultant for 30 years. She has extensive experience with curriculum development in NSW, Australia and internationally, and recently managed the review of the Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education. Janice provides professional development, support and resources for departments, schools and teachers across Australia.

ACCREDITATION  
Participating actively in one of the HMS Q&A sessions will contribute 1 hour of NESA elective PD in the priority area of delivery and assessment of NSW curriculum – addressing standard descriptor 2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
