The workshop covers:
- Where to begin
- Unpacking the syllabus
- Assessment
- Marking
- Resourcing
- Setting your students up for success.
Learn from both the experienced presenter and networking with other teachers at the same stage as you. The workshop includes a workbook and practical resources including:
- Preliminary and HSC course links
- Sample scope and sequences and assessments grids
- Scaffolds and resources to plan teaching and learning strategies
- Scaffolds for answering HSC style questions
- Multiple choice questions tips.
Who should attend?
Teachers currently teaching Stage 6 for the first time, or will do so in the near future.

Presenter
Pam Findlay, Head Teacher PDHPE, Eden Marine High School
Pam has over 30 years of experience teaching PDHPE, including 20 years as Head Teacher. Pam has been a PDHPE HSC marker, HSC judge and a senior marker. She has been active on syllabus development committees where her extensive expertise and deep knowledge of PDHPE curriculum has been recognised.
Accreditation
Completing Teaching Stage 6 PDHPE for the 1st time will contribute 5 hours and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of delivery and assessment of NSW curriculum/EYLF addressing standard descriptors 2.1.2, 2.2.2, 2.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
