ACHPER NSW team changes
February 2024
ACHPER NSW has some team changes – and its mixed news as we farewell good friend Clare Roden and welcome Lisa Quinn.
Farewell and thanks Clare
Clare Roden, our Professional Learning Support Officer, is moving on to dedicate more time to her role at the University of Wollongong. Clare has been a wonderful part of the ACHPER NSW team for three years. She has worked tirelessly to deliver quality professional learning to the PDHPE community.
Among Clare’s many highlights:
- Co-design team member for Reimagining workshop series
- Co-design team member for our new Human Movement Science (HMS) syllabus professional learning
- Early Career Teacher sub-committee member
- Collaborating and delivery of HMS workshops
- Review and delivery of a range of ACHPER NSW events.
Clare has a long association with the ACHPER NSW community, including as a board member prior to her joining the office team. She has brought constant energy, enthusiasm, and expertise to ACHPER NSW and we will miss her greatly. We will still see Clare’s friendly face though! She will continue to present at our events and workshops throughout the year.
Welcome Lisa Quinn
Lisa Quinn has joined the team as a Project Officer. Lisa will support the roll out of our HMS workshops and the new K-6 and 7-10 PDHPE syllabus, expected to be released the second half of this year.
Lisa is an experienced teacher of 20 years, including PDHPE Head Teacher and RFF primary school PE teacher, across all three school sectors. She is a passionate educator dedicated and driven by a commitment to pedagogical excellence.
Lisa may be a familiar face already. She has planned and delivered workshops for ACHPER NSW and the DoE, guiding teachers across NSW to develop their knowledge and skills in PDHPE syllabus programming, and effective assessment.
