At this interactive workshop, you’ll learn both from the experienced presenter and networking with other teachers at the same stage as you. The workshop includes a workbook and range of practical resources including:
- Preliminary and HSC course links
- Sample scope and sequences
- Sample assessment grids
- Scaffolds and resources to plan teaching and learning strategies
- Scaffolds for answering HSC style questions
- Multiple choice questions tips.
Who should attend?
Teachers currently teaching Stage 6 for the first time, or will do so in the near future.

Louisa Bailey, Child Studies & CAFS Teacher, R/Head Teacher PDHPE , East Hills Girls Technology High School
Louisa has been a secondary PDHPE teacher for 8 years. She has experience teaching and leading in a range of courses, including HSC CAFS, PDHPE and Child Studies. Passionate about being ‘all-in’, Louisa strives to contribute across all aspects of school life, including welfare, the PDHPE classroom, school sport and curriculum development.
ACCREDITATION
Completing First Time Teaching Stage 6 CAFS will contribute 5 hours of NESA accredited PD in the priority area of delivery and assessment of NSW curriculum – addressing standard descriptors 1.5.2, 2.2.2, 2.3.2, 3.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
