Executive Officer, ACHPER NSW
Well done teachers, educators, students and parents. Congratulations to you all, it has been a challenging year.
Educators have had to be flexible, innovative, and supportive through the ever changing landscape of 2021. You have all done an amazing job.
We hope all our members, your families and the PDHPE/HPE community remained safe and well during 2021.
Reflecting on the last twelve months, some of our highlights have included:
- Delivering quality professional learning to over 720 teachers.
- Planning three exciting conferences for 2022.
- Developing a new three-part workshop series called Reimagining PE to Engage All. The first workshop in the series was delivered in November.
- Commenced delivering professional learning in the ACT.
- Held the ACHPER NSW/ACT PDHPE/HPE Awards for the first time, recognising some truly outstanding teachers.
We are in the final stages of completing a three-year strategic plan. This will allow ACHPER NSW to grow and thrive in the PDHPE/HPE space we are so passionate about.
A downside to 2021 was having to cancel our conferences due to COVID. However, we have a great program of professional development planned for 2022 and look forward to reconnecting.
Thank you to our many supporters
A huge thank you to all our enthusiastic presenters, writers, members, educators who contribute to the development delivery of ACHPER NSW professional learning.
A big thank you to our major sponsors RH Sports and Tennis Australia for your ongoing support. If you would like to discuss opportunities to collaborate with ACHPER NSW. Please contact me at tracy@achper.com.au.
Thank you to the ACHPER NSW board and ACT -subcommittee for your ongoing support, passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to ACHPER NSW and ACT, our members and the PDHPE/HPE community.
It has been a very busy and rewarding year for the small operations team I lead; we only equate to three full time staff members. The team consists of Karen Burton, Janice Atkins, Shannon Dixon, Brendan Lee and Clare Roden. Thank you for always remaining positive, energetic, and enthusiastic especially through this ever-changing year we endured.
Lastly, I would like to thank all our members, stakeholders and the PDHPE/HPE community. ACHPER NSW is your professional association and from your input, engagement, this organisation continues to positively impact the physical education, health, personal development of NSW and ACT students and educators.
Wishing you all the best for the holidays season. We hope you all have a well-deserved break and enjoy your time with friends and family. We look forward to supporting you in 2022.
Best wishes
